Below is an overview of the Community Care Common Standards Communications Strategy:
As part of a reform agenda to streamline administrative arrangements across community aged care programs and jurisdictions, common standards and common arrangements have been developed for quality reporting processes.
The common standards will replace existing standards which currently differ between programs. The common standards will apply to:
- the Home and Community Care (HACC) Program
- packaged care programs [Community Aged Care Packages (CACP), Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH) and Extended Aged Care at Home Dementia (EACHD)]
- the National Respite for Carers Program (NRCP).
A Guide to the Community Care Common Standards has been developed to assist service providers to prepare and participate in a quality review using the common standards and to continuously improve.
